Elliott is one of those Kiwi’s we’re very happy and comfortable claiming as our own (Crowded House, Russell Crowe, Pavlova… you know the type). Now that we’ve said it, let’s move on.
Elliott has a calmness and tranquility about him that belies his depth of knowledge and technical prowess. A coolness that cleverly cloaks his razor sharp musical mind, and a playing style that exudes the same effortlessness, all the while creating an atmosphere that is undeniably upbeat.
Elliott’s is wonderful player of the acoustic guitar, with a warm vocal approach. But it’s on his electric guitar, and his ‘loop machine’, layering groovy beats and soulful shredding, that he really feels at home. His sets are frequently filled with a mixture of tunes nodding to house music and disco all-the-while tipping their hat to foundation genres like blues, jazz and even neo-soul.
When he’s not performing live at various bars and venues up and down the coast, Elliott is shacked up in his home production studio meticulously tinkering with sounds and experimenting with methods and approaches. He loves-and lives-to create soundscape perfection.
While Elliott is an incredible soloist in his own right, he’s also more than comfortable bringing his vocal and/or guitar chops to a duo dynamic too. He’s a relative newbie to the JANDA Fam, it’s true, but he’s more than paid his dues and earned his stripes, and will make an incredible addition to your big day via your Wedding Music plans.
