SHANI – Singer/Pianist

Shani is a vibrant and rising force in the Brisbane music scene. Born in Northern New South Wales, Shani’s earliest musical memory is as vivid and colourful as her personality – she’s in a Pub wearing hot pink from head to toe and she’s just won a Hardcore Battle of the Bands, playing keys alongside her rather renowned family band. Oh yeah, and she’s just 9 years old.

Clearly Shani began her musical journey at a pretty tender age. Hard not to be immersed in it when you’re the baby of a large family that’s deeply rooted in music. With blood being the reason Shani’s a musician, it stands to reason that for her it’s more than just a passion; Music is a way of life; a way to connect with others and a canvas for her emotions.

Shani’s inspirations are as eclectic as her background, drawing from the powerful presence of Beyoncé, the heartfelt melodies of The Lumineers, and the timeless elegance of Ella Fitzgerald. These artists have not only shaped Shani’s sound but also provided solace and inspiration through life’s ups and downs.
