Wedding Celebrant – JAKE NEWELL

GOLD COAST WEDDING CELEBRANT JAKE NEWELL

The freshest wedding celebrant Jake Newell of ‘Newelly Wedded’

Yes, the same ‘Jake’ you spied cuddling a guitar. This celebrant one’s just a bit better dressed.

A Witty Wordsmith.

Relaxed Male Wedding Celebrant.

Jake Newell is a name (and rugged head) many in the wedding industry will recognise. Though possibly not as a Gold Coast Wedding Celebrant.

For about a decade Jake’s been attending wedding ceremonies. And from his position as the day’s musician, he’s seen the good, the not-so good, and down right cringe/facepalm worthy.

Before Jake was a Gold Coast wedding celebrant, and even before his near-decade as a full-time wedding musician, he was a writer. Yep, a gainfully employed, published-and-put-to-air, pitifully-paid penner of prose. So… with that professional ‘upbringing’ it seems a fairly natural progression that writing non-boring wedding ceremony scripts should be a thing that he does (don’t you think?).

Weddings aside, Jake’s a proud dad of 3 small, seriously rad, beings as well as a husband to a wonderful woman (insider info: she’s also a wedding celebrant – a proper kickass one – and boss lady of the Janda Fam) who’s name rhymes with ‘banana’.

Jake loves and has an active interest in all kinds of sports (except, for cricket) but has a particular soft spot for surfing and rugby league. Now that he’s a celebrant Jake’s relishing the opportunity to get to know his couples even more intimately. Any excuse for a laugh and a chin-wag over a coffee or a frothie really.

JAKE’S CEREMONY STYLE

Jake’s an emotional being and an empath. A couple of relatively uncommon traits for someone who could also be categorised as a ‘blokey bloke’. But that’s why we don’t like pigeon-holing, isn’t it. Jake has the rare ability of being able to discuss deep feels, as well as speak silly stuff.

At the core of Jake’s wedding ceremonies is a carefully crafted, bespoke script. The afore mentioned character traits, as well has his skill and experience as a creative writer, combine to ensure that your wedding ceremony is one that all of your guests can honestly engage with and enjoy.

This wedding celebrant’s style probably won’t suit those who aren’t down to keep it real and raw; laugh at yourself and each other; and/or would prefer their guests to be sitting like a bunch of kids on their first visit to the principals office.

Jake believes that your wedding ceremony should be a good time. Natural, emotive, authentic and joyous. Basically, if you’ve got a stick up ya bum – on ya should probably run!
